things we offer

we like to consider ourselves experienced, yet malleable; we never shy away from a task, and we will use our experience to find solutions personally fit to your needs.

somm services

a “sommelier” (som·me·lier /ˌsəməlˈyā/) sounds a little daunting. basically, we’re professional wine dorks. people think of us as those guys in three-piece suits with expensive watches and an intimidation factor. in reality, our team truly just loves wine and wants to spread the good word in any way possible.
the most demanding part of the job is not the interaction with the guests. imagine that as the performance, and all day, week and year we have been practicing, training and doing all of the preparatory work the world will never see, like a world-class athlete who works all year to perfect his craft but does so without plastering it on social media.
in fact, we came into wine from the shadows behind the scenes, working our way through fine restaurants onto the wine teams by unpacking boxes, performing inventory, stocking shelves just to gain that experience and pick the brains of those more experienced. now, we get to pass on all of our experience and knowledge to you.

service: restaurant consultation

the core of our extensive experience was built within the walls of restaurants. our team has spent time in both three-star michelin establishments as well as casual chain restaurants on both coasts of the US and many states in between. we’ve seen it, we’ve breathed it, we want to help you find success with your restaurant beverage program. if it’s something as small as editing a wine list, training staff (remotely or in person), or consulting on the construction & organization of your cellar, we’ve got you.

service: somm for a night

have one of our talented, affable somms transform your home or office for a night, facilitating a smooth service whether in a fine-dining atmosphere, a party setting or anything else your mind can concoct. we will work with you or your chef on a menu, flow of service, and expertly prepare every wine prior to the event.

service: cellar organization

arguably the most important job of a sommelier is creating and maintaining an organized cellar. whether you’ve just built a cellar and need an organizational system put in place, have lost control of your inventory, or just need a keen eye dedicated to protecting & maintaining your cellar, we’re here for you.
this service includes an organized inventory printed, emailed, and/or uploaded to your software of choice.

service: purchasing & sales

as wine is a living, breathing, changing being, so too do your tastes change. with that, new wine must be purchased and the old often shipped out. our team will gladly sit in on auctions, comb the wine world for sought-after bottles, or facilitate the sale of any number of items for you.

service: relocation

we get it, it’s all about location, location, location! time to move on up. but don’t forget the wine!
if you’re relocating to a new house or apartment, emptying or filling the summer house, or moving wine to or from storage, you do not want a single bottle broken. our team will source the materials and oversee packing and transportation to your wines’ new home!

the full pocket

this is the real deal - now your “wine guy” is always in your pocket. with the full pocket, we’re always on call. we’ll provide quarterly inventories complete with valuations, food pairings and create a restaurant-style wine list of bottles we think are ready to be drunk. we will work together to identify and execute a long-term strategy for your cellar, act as your liaison for all purchases and sales, and be present to unpack and stock deliveries.
